Episode 142: The Crew’s going cop hunting with John Rambo as they discuss the 1982 action film, First Blood. They also discuss the novel, which ends differently and doesn’t allow sequels to be made. But this was Stallone’s first non-Rocky film to be a hit at the box office, so sequels followed and an 80’s action icon was born.

Mistake correction: Back to the Future was the #1 film of 1985, Rambo: First Blood part II and Rocky IV were #2 and #3.

Episode 136: The crew’s having martinis as they continue their Explosive Holiday Action series with, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. It’s the sixth film in the Bond franchise and the first without Sean Connery. The pressure was on for the new Bond, George Lazenby. And he does deliver, especially in the action sequences. But the standout here is the filmmaking and score from composer, John Barry. Brian makes a mistake in the very beginning, All Time High was the song for Octopussy, and Moonraker’s title theme was named Moonraker.

Episode 133: The crew’s wearing their Nike’s with Power-Laces as they discuss, Back to the Future Part II. The first sequel didn’t have the same box-office impact or rave reviews of the original, but there’s a lot to love here. All the crew and cast (expect Crispin Glover and Claudia Wells) return to make this sequel feel like a direct continuation, despite a 4 year gap between the films.
